The Great Race is one of the longest Off the Beach Catamaran and Dinghy races in Australia.
The race starts from our sailing venue at Hollywell on the Gold Coast and finishes at RQYS in Brisbane sailing 37 nautical miles through the Broadwater channels and crossing Moreton Bay to the finish. The first race was held in 2005 and the event is building in numbers annually.
Held in conjunction with Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron this race is a true test of boat and sailor.
