Sail Paradise 2012: Brisbane yachtsman Peter Harburg has confirmed he will contest the Sail Paradise 2012 series on the Gold Coast with his latest yacht, the 42ft Black Jack II.

Chris Percy to Set Sail for Sydney to Hobart at 18: Southport Yacht Club Member, Chris Percy whom only just turned 18 will be the youngest ever Skipper to compete in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race on December 26. Son of SYC Vice Commodore Matthew Percy whom will also be sailing in the race aboard “Alacrity” Matt has five Sydney to Hobart’s, 3 of which aboard Alacrity. Alacrity being the only vessel from SYC with a confirmed 97 entered.

Mathew Belcher nominated for the Queensland Sports Star award: Australian Sailing Team’s 470 men’s skipper and member of Southport Yacht Club, Mathew Belcher has been named as a finalist in the 17th Annual Queensland Sport Awards.
