Established in 1946, Southport Yacht Club is known worldwide for its exceptional sailing, power boat and outrigging fraternities, award winning boating facilities and its exceptional and exclusive waterfront dining.
Nestled at the southern end of the Gold Coast Broadwater you’ll find Southport Yacht Club’s Main Beach Clubhouse, award winning and newly extended floating Marina and Slipway.
Southport Yacht Club’s award winning marina received an exciting upgrade in 2007, taking Southport Yacht Club’s marina capacity to over 300 berths.
The New Marina Extension includes: five SuperYacht Berths, twenty-one sixteen metre single shutes, six sixteen metre catamaran berths, plus a twenty-five metre berth, two twenty-two metre berths, a thirteen metre berth and finally an eighteen metre berth taking Southport Yacht Club’s marina capacity to over 300 berths.
The Waterfront Restaurant within the Main Beach Clubhouse also went through extreme upgrade in late 2008, having the western end of the club house knocked down and completely re-built, the waterfront restaurant boasts a relaxing atmosphere complemented with exceptional seasonal menus whilst the Compass Room offers an exclusive setting for corporate, private functions and wedding receptions all year round. Southport Yacht Club’s Sailing Squadron located on the North Shore at Hollywell offers excellent facilities and a supportive environment for all levels of sailing expertise with sailing camps and courses offered.
Finally Southport Yacht Club’s private retreat, Dux, is located on South Stradbroke Island and proves to be a very popular weekend destination for many members.
