JUNIOR SAILING LESSONS Our Junior Sail Training Programs caters for boys and girls aged 7 to 16 years, with sessions for all levels of ability.
Junior FunSail - Funsail Classes for Kids 9.00am - 10.30am Sunday mornings. Cost $15 per session. This is an opportunity to try sailing using our X3 Dinghies in a safe controlled environment before entering our Junior BasicSail Program. No need to book, just come on down.
Junior BasicSail Program 9:00am to 11:00am Sunday mornings. Course cost $195. This is a learn to Sail course, boats are provided using Optimist Dinghies. There are only seven students per course, ensuring plenty of one-on-one attention.
The next Junior BasicSail course will run on 16 May, 23 May, 30 May, 6 June, 13 June 2010.
Junior BetterSail Program 4:00pm to 5:30pm Thursdays. This program is an introduction to racing. It focuses on the development of racing skills and refined boat handling techniques. Students have to be Cadet members of Southport Yacht Club and own their own boat.
School Holiday Sailing Camps 9:00am to 3:00pm, three-day Sail Training Program. Cost $165 ($140 if bringing own boat). The camps are a great way to meet new friends, have fun on the water and try something different on your holidays. We supply everything you need – from boats and buoyancy vests to lunch and laughter! Early bookings are recommended.
ADULT SAILING LESSSONS Our Adult Sailing Courses are available to all over the age of 16. Private lessons are also available on request.
Adult Basic Sailing Course - Get Into Small Boat Sailing (GISBS Basic Skills 1&2) Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 12:00pm. Cost $330. This 5-week course offers an introduction into sailing for those with no prior sailing experience. Students will acquire GISBS Basic Skills Certificates 1 and 2.
The next Basic Course will be held on 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 July 2010, with an extra week in reserve.
Adult Better Sailing Course - Get Into Small Boat Sailing (GISBS Better Sailing) Saturday afternoons from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. Cost $330. This 5-week sailing course builds upon the skills acquired in the “Basic Sailing” program. Upon completion, students will acquire the GISBS Better Sailing Certificate.
The next Better Course will be held on 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 July 2010, with an extra week in reserve. |
